Recording Fees

SUMMARY: As of April 1, 2024, pursuant to State law, the Office will no longer price any documents as “non-standard” or “standard”, though most recording fees will not change. Nearly all recordings will instead fall into one of the 7 Document Classes below, and be priced accordingly. If your document is irregularly formatted or pertains to 6 or more PINS or previously recorded document numbers, it will be priced as an Irregular or Blanket Recording. Liens and plats will not be affected and will remain priced the same as in the past. Documents or filers not subject to the State RHSP fee will be priced $19 lower than stated. Copy fees have also been standardized and apply to all records.

TOTAL FEE BREAKDOWN: Your receipt will show more detailed information, but any document priced at $107 or more includes: $55 county recording fee, $23 GIS fee, $10 Document Storage Fee, $18 State Rental Housing Support Fee, and $1 non-government filer fee. Fees are set by state statute and county ordinance.

PLEASE NOTE: Because the final recording fee can change upon inspecting the document, we are unable to give recording fee “quotes” over the phone. Though this fee schedule & our staff can help you estimate your fees, it is recommended that you bring cash, credit card, or wait to fill out the amount due on your check until you meet with a cashier.
